  1. Beautiful work as always, Scott. I love the uniform of the French Artillery - particularly the Guard with their bearskins.

  4. Fantastic stuff Scott.... Do you know when the Guard Horse changed from busby to shako? I'm currently painting up my Old Glory version and theirs retain the busby.....

This latest commission for you has served as an inspiration for me to dig out my Napoleonics.... So a big HUZZAH to you!

    1. Well, I checked my Rousselot, and it looks like the Guard Horse Artillery always had the busby. These are earlier line horse artillery.

  5. I always find the guns just as much work as the crews and somehow less personally rewarding. All that metal work! Nice job on these. I have to commend you on keeping the quality way up there considering the size of the commission. Your customer will be quite pleased.

    1. Yes, and the only tougher thing to paint is the darned limbers!

  6. Scott, what color did you use to paint the gun carriages

    1. I sprayed Tamiya Olive Drab 2 from a rattle can, then drybrushed with Vallejo 318 "US Army Tankcrew."
