28mm ACW Union Infantry in Greatcoats

The 168 man project turned into a 192 man project with the addition of 24 standard bearers.  The flags arrived just before Christmas, and I was able to put the finishing touches on the bases today.

All figures are from Raven Banner Games Miniatures (available from Old Glory UK), and they are excellent sculpts.  This was one the better Kickstarters that I have backed.  Even after painting my way through this big set, I still have about 600 infantry figures left to paint!

The flags are from GMB Designs, and as always they are perfect!  I tried to choose regiments that were present at Stone's River.

My lighting failed me on that last photo.  I'm very happy with how these twelve regiments turned out.  Tomorrow I will start prepping the next batch of Union troops!

  3. They look great! If I may ask, what color blue did you use for the greatcoat?

    1. The shade is Adriatic Blue and the highlight is Cape Cod Blue, both from Delta Ceramcoat.

    1. I find it easier to work on them in small batches. Doing 24 at once was too many.
