Thomas Francis Meagher

Raven Banner Games continues to impress me with their cold-weather 28mm ACW line. This sculpt portrays Brigadier General Thomas Meagher, the Irish patriot who raised and commanded the Irish Brigade.

 

Meagher has always been a fascinating character to me. I walked the route of the Irish Brigade at Antietam, and the site of Meagher's death is not far from my home.

15mm French Guard Cavalry

John will have a whopping five regiments of guard cavalry in his French army! It was a lot of fun to paint these, and I went all out, taking my time on every fine detail.
