Numidian Light Horse

This finishes the Numidian contingent of Glenn's army. All the figures are Relic except for the general, who is from Crusader.

I was doubtful about the Relic figures. I've liked most of their line, but I thought these Numidian horsemen looked a bit off with their fringed shirts, but I was pleased to find that they painted up very well.

I'm putting the finishing touches on a unit of Celt-Iberians today, and then I'm starting on a huge group of Libyan spearmen. I'm hitting my stride now.

  4. To be honest, I was unsure about the Numidian Horsemen figures as well. They looked more authentic than others I've seen, but somehow they looked a bit off. I was afraid that they might be hard to paint in an interesting way.
Well, that was obviously not a problem for Scott. They look spectacular, especially the command unit.

  5. Also, I should mention that I swapped out the Relic shields for Renegade. The Relic shields all had a tortoise shell looking design, which was O.K., but would have prevented Scott from giving them all unique designs. This turned out way better.
Nice work Scott! All the Numidian Shields look great!

  6. Hi Scott,
Just curious about the basing on these. My cavalry s/b each based on a 2" x 1" base with the far right base glued down as the permanent base.
No need to rebase the Numidians, just want to make sure that the rest of the cavalry is done the other way.
    Thanks!
