This week I finished off the 32 Caetari in Glenn's Carthaginian army. These figures are all from Renegade.
I painted these troops with duller tunics than the Scutari, figuring that the Caetari would come from the poorer classes. The shields are smaller, which gives me a smaller canvas for fancy designs, but I think I was able to make them bright and interesting.
Two figures got some very specific shield designs.
Good looking group well done!

Looks good. Looking forward to seeing them all based up and ready to go.
ReplyDeleteREALLY like how you did these guys. They look just like I imagined they would.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the extra detail on the shields.
Excellent work, as always. The muted tunic colors really are nice. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteLovely. The combination of the tunics with the brighter shields works really well.
ReplyDeleteNice work. They will look awesome once they are based up.
ReplyDeleteVery very nice work.
ReplyDeleteVery well done. I prefer the muted palette of the poorer men's tunics. The shields are excellent as well.
ReplyDeleteVery nice painted figures, like all the rest on your blog. I do like your painting style, very clean!
