My painting is still slow, but I am able to get a little bit done each week. These 32 mounted figures took me the better part of six weeks. All figures are Sash and Saber. The flags are from GMB. I mounted the figures on Litko bases, 40mm frontage by 50mm depth. It's a little tight, but the figures will fit.

Stunning brushwork!
ReplyDeleteI saw them this morning in person and they are, indeed, beautiful.
Nice work, Scott!
yes indeed Great painting and basing as always Scott, well done sir!
ReplyDelete25mm Sash and saber are my favorite and best sculpt miniatures for the ACW period!
cheers,
Excellent work! They're quite a bunch of menacing looking rebels.
ReplyDeleteExcellent looking unit, Yankees can be afraid!
ReplyDeleteThey look Fantastic Scott!! Is the frontage for Guns at Gettysburg or Longstreet same frontage as infantry requirements? I'm asking because I also thinking of trying that frontage for my cavalry, but was worrying about the fit, however it does seem to work quite well indeed.

Outstanding as usual. Nice work, Scott.
ReplyDeleteWoW, don´t really know what more to say. Stunning work and they look fantastic!

Very sweet indeed. The Sash and saber range is very very good- but then I'm biased- and you do make 'em look even better .
ReplyDeleteChristopher, the infantry gets 15mm frontage per figure, while the cavalry gets 20mm. I think Longstreet wants all bases the same, but I'll adjust my figures to the rules.
ReplyDeleteThank you Scott.
ReplyDeleteIf Longstreet is the usual Mustafa base system then all that is important is agreeing to the base measurement to be used even if different base sizes are on the table or at least that has been our experience so far.
Christopher
These are great! As always.
