Here is the last of the French infantry, 72 members of the Imperial Guard. I used the invaluable Historie and Collections book as my main resource, with additional details drawn from Rousselot. Tony Barton's sculpting really shines here, as he depicts the guard in all the glory of their full dress.
Grenadiers of the Guard
Chasseurs of the Guard
Fusilier-Grenadiers of the Guard
Tiralleurs of the Guard
Voltiguers of the Guard
Next up will be the French artillery. I have painted 588 French infantry in 2 1/2 months. It will be nice to have a change of pace.
Wow, excellent job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phil! I had never painted Napoleon's guard in any scale before. I am glad that these turned out so well.
DeleteFrom my email yesterday:
ReplyDeleteWow. Really, just…wow!
You are truly so talented it boggles the mind.
I always thought so when you were doing the 28mm figures, but in this much smaller scale, the level of detail is absolutely stunning.
The Guard are really impressive.
Thanks, Glenn! AB are the best figures around. It's a treat getting to paint all of these.
DeleteThat is pretty amazing work for 15s!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jon!
