40mm ACW Union Infantry First Highlights

Yesterday I put on the first set of highlights.  Today I'll try to finish up the flesh, blanket rolls, and rifle slings.

      They are coming along. It's not too much different from painting 28mm.

    I have painted more than a few 40mm in my time and find them -as you say- not very much different from 28mm- until you come to horses- which are a bit bigger than they look at least when you are putting colour on the. Nice work BTW

      They are a little tougher than 28mm, or maybe they are just less forgiving. Anyway, I am enjoying them!
