2024 in Review

2024 saw me painting more for myself than in previous years. I worked in a couple of smaller commissions, but most of my energy went to rounding out my 18mm ancients collections.
I have included the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge points in brackets with my total below.

2024 Totals

28mm Foot: 952 (4760)
28mm Mounted: 148 (1480)
28mm Horses: 32 (160)
28mm Elephants: 10 (300)
28mm Guns: 4 (80)
28mm Vehicles:12 (240)
1/72 Foot: 411 (1644)
15mm Mounted: 12 (48)
15mm Limbers: 6 (48)
15mm Horses: 12 (48)

That gives me a total of 8,808 points on the year, against a seventeen year average of 6,042, so this year was 46% above normal. In terms of sheer production, this was my best year since 2008, the year my first child was born.
2024: 8,808
2023: 7,275
2022: 7,128
2021: 4,965
2020: 7,953
2019: 6,285
2018: 5,072
2017: 7,187
2016: 5,086
2015: 4,506
2014: 4,327
2013: 5,456
2012: 5,787
2011: 4,081
2010: 7,167
2009: 4,348
2008: 8,816

As always, I would love to play more games. Commands and Colors dominated 2024 and looks to dominate 2025 as well.

  1. Amazing productivity, Scott! I cannot imagine painting 8,000+ painting points of figures.

    1. Well, most of them were painted to "good enough" standard. I like them, though, and I am glad that they have started appearing in our games!

    1. I was surprised at the totals. I knew I was moving through the figures, but I did not realize just how many I had painted.

  3. Wow, that is a pile of figures painted, Scott! Best of luck playing more games in 2025, I think most of us have a similar ambition 😉
