28mm 1813 Russian Mounted Jager

Here are three units of mounted Jager.  I gather that the Russians converted some half dozen dragoon units to light cavalry in 1813, but they were mainly used as battle cavalry.  These are all Foundry figures.  The only sources I could find for these uniforms was Hourtoulle's 1814: The Campaign for France and Haythornthwaite's The Napoleonic Source Book.  Fortunately, the two of them provided all the details I needed.

That finished the cavalry component of Glenn's army: 80 horse in 20 units!  Next I will tackle the army's command.

28mm 1812 Russian Hussars

Glenn is fielding three units of hussars in his Russian army.  I chose units that would give him as wide a variety of colors as possible.

28mm 1812 Russian Militia

Glenn will have three units of militia in his army.  These figures were a lot of fun to paint.  I went with uniformed militia, since these figures are clearly wearing uniforms.

Some of the Moscow militia were armed with pikes.  I usually see these illustrated as spears, barely higher than the men's heads, but my written sources clearly say "pikes," and one described them as 12-16 feet long.

The St. Petersburg militia look rather modern in their caps and simple tunics.
