With the high command out of the way, I turned to the field generals. Glenn will have four mounted generals for his army. There is a real lack of mounted Russian generals in metal, so Glenn went with regimental officers. With the proper colors, these look like generals to me.
The first two generals are from Perry Miniatures RN 2 "Mounted Field Officers."
The other two generals are from Foundry RN061 "Mounted Infantry Officers."
I spent the day prepping infantry figures. Tomorrow I will be priming.
Those look Spectacular!

I figured that since all the upper ranks were back at HQ with Kutusov, it was left for the colonels to manage the details. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've actually got mounted Russian generals from Foundry and Front Rank, but I'm such a Perry fan boy, I liked these figures better. They somehow seemed more dynamic.
I've been meaning to ask, what paint / colour are you using for your reen?
ReplyDeleteFMB
Beautifully painted mounted troops - like your earlier command. Like FMB, the green is unique and quite nice. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteReally been a treat looking at your Russian work.
ReplyDeleteI changed brands for my green paint. Instead of Delta Ceramcoat, I am using Americana. The base is "Evergreen" and the highlight is "Forest Green."
ReplyDeleteI'll looking the Americana - how's the coverage? I find it varies widely with the DC
ReplyDeletefiremonkeyboy, The coverage with these shades is actually pretty good. I can't promise anything with other colors.
