French Cuirassiers, WIP II

I broke the bank on these figures, so I am taking my time and enjoying them.  Here are two squadron commanders of the 2nd and 9th Cuirassier regiments.  Everyone knows what sculpting geniuses the Perrys are, but they really outdid themselves with these.  I love the figures.

I have been using one of the best uniform references I have ever found.  It has great information about every little detail of every regiment!

  1. Fine brushwork as always - and who can argue the Perrys' talent. I have a similar book on the foot units of the Guard. It is filled with so much detailed illustrations.

  2. Very nice! Was it the figures or the book that broke the bank? That Amazon link you posted shows an incredibly expensive price on the book.

    1. The book was around $15 when I bought it. Maybe I should start buying them two at a time: one for painting and one as an investment for my kids' college fund!
