All the light cavalry now has their base coats. For some reason, I caught on fire today highlighting these lancers. The Austrians fielded four Uhlan regiments, all in green jackets and pants with red facings. The only regimental distinction was the color of the top of the czapka.
1st (emperor yellow) and 2nd (green) Uhlans
3rd (crimson) and 4th (white) Uhlans
The light dragoons and hussars are up next!
I've always been especially fond of these units. Really like the uniforms.
ReplyDeleteAnd these are painted perfectly!
Thanks, Glenn! I have to paint up a regiment or two for myself.
DeleteThese are great! Like Glenn, I have always enjoyed the Austrian uhlan uniform too. Heck! Who doesn't like lancers regardless of army?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jon! I guess lancers are growing on me. I think the only Napoleonic lancers I own are a regiment of Poles.
DeleteSuperb colors and great paint brush!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Phil! They are certainly colorful.
DeleteOutstanding work yet again from your magic brush!
