84th New York (14th "Brooklyn" New York State Militia)

Sash and Saber makes my favorite 28mm Civil War figures, so when Chris Hughes announced that he was sculpting the famous 14th Brooklyn, in their distinctive chasseurs uniform, I knew I had to paint that regiment.  The figures definitely fit well with the rest of his line.

Here is the 34 figure regiment.

I went with the marching figures, rather than the skirmishing men, as I prefer my close order units in marching poses.

Flags for this unit, as for all my Civil War units, are from GMB Designs.

The poses are very natural and lifelike, with nice raised detail and good proportions.

If you game the American Civil War in 28mm, you'll need a few packs of these figures.  No other manufacturer has figures that portray this famous regiment, and these are beauties.

  6. C'mon, Alte Fritz, you know you want to. All the other gamers are doing it. I'll tell you what: I'll send you some Sash and Saber figures for free so you can see if you like them.

  7. LOL, you are using the same "crack dealer" business model that I have used with great success at F&D ... The first ones are free and then you get hooked. Ok , I'll take you up on your offer

  8. Yes, that's the model. :-)

Hey, it worked pretty well for you. How many Fife & Drum figures have I bought now? 300 or so? Plus the Kickstarter pledge?

I couldn't help it. All the cool kids were doing it.

  9. These are just wonderful, Scott. The only downside is that on the tabletop, I've noticed the Rebels like to target them over all others, probably just like in RL.
