Giant Commission -- French Chassseurs a Cheval

The latest horsemen to gallop off my painting table are these 24 French chasseurs a cheval.

Glenn wants as many different colors as possible, so we have troopers from the 1st, 4th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 21st, and 28th regiments.







The French lancers are very close to done.

    I read somewhere that French Chasseurs had the dullest uniforms. Well, not these! How colorful and fun!

    I've always been very fond of green uniformed French cavalry: Dragoons, Chasseurs, and Lanciers. They just look so elegant and nicely set-off against the blue of the rest of the army.

      I really enjoyed the green. I had never been taken with the lancer uniform, but these are looking good.

      It will be tough to hand these over, but money makes everything easier.
