Before I pack up Glenn's army and send it on its way, I had a few extra casualty markers to paint up.
Austrian infantry casualties
Austrian cavalry casualties
These are French figures, mostly chasseurs a cheval, with a quick painting conversion. I think they turned out pretty good.
Russian cavalry casualties
Once again these are French figures, four dragoons and two cuirassiers. I trimmed the horsehair from helmets as much as I could to make them look like Russians.
Beautifully done! These casualty figures look much better than my line units. Who manufactured these?
ReplyDeleteThese are all AB Miniatures.
DeleteLooking good. I usually take a regular figure, cut at the joints to loosen and smack it with a hammer. This really looks the business. Well done.
ReplyDeleteHa! I have tried that in the past, but I guess I do not have the knack. Mine never looked right.
DeleteI hate the thought of smacking an AB with a hammer!
DeleteWonderful job, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phil!
DeleteThey look great! The look totally authentic, even up close. The only hint of a conversion is on the Russian Dragoon helmets. Maybe because the eye sees the green uniform coat and the shape of the helmet. But even that is only when inspecting them up close.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Very excited to have casualties for the Austrians and Russians.
I think they will pass on the table!
